1) Students wishing to seek credit(s) through independent study or summer school should first receive permission from the Assistant Head of School and/or Academic Counselor prior to enrolling in classes. 3) Students will not be permitted to enroll in independent study or summer classes with the intent to graduate early.
4) The Piney Woods School will accept a maximum of one credit from independent study or two credits from summer school according to a student’s particular deficiencies in regards to graduation.
5) The Piney Woods School is not obligated to monitor the independent study or summer school progress of the student.
6) The students and their parent/guardian are responsible for independent study or summer school grades being submitted to The Piney Woods School. If grades are not submitted in a timely fashion, students will not be allowed to enroll in the next class in the sequence or to graduate.
