Each year, AmeriCorps nationally offers 75,000 opportunities for adults of all ages and backgrounds to serve through a network of partnerships with local and national nonprofit groups. AmeriCorps members will: reduce childhood obesity by introducing 300 children to healthy activities and food choices and through a One Ton Challenge; reduce poverty by assisting 10 communities to identify and complete projects to enhance the environment to attract business; and enhance veterans’ mental health by providing a platform for them to tell their stories. Whether your service makes a community safer, gives a child a second chance, or helps protect the environment, you’ll be getting things done through AmeriCorps!
