The Piney Woods School Class of 2027 began its senior year with a special virtual kickoff hosted by Alumni Affairs, launching a yearlong experience designed to help students prepare for continuing their Piney Woods journey beyond graduation.

Led by Kimberly Toney ’01, Senior Development Officer for Alumni Affairs, the August session introduced seniors to the role of Alumni Affairs and encouraged them to begin thinking about how they will remain connected to Piney Woods in the years ahead. Drawing from her own experience as a Piney Woods alumna, Toney reminded students that graduation does not mark the end of their relationship with the school. Instead, it opens the door to continued connection within a lifelong network of Piney Woods alumni spanning generations, professions, and communities.

The conversation gave seniors an opportunity to reflect on their plans after graduation, consider what it means to continue their Piney Woods journey as alumni, and learn about the relationships and resources available through the alumni community.

Piney Woods alumnus and Coach Rahim Lockhart also joined the conversation, sharing his personal story and perspective on the lasting impact of the Piney Woods experience and the importance of staying connected.

The August kickoff is the first in a series of intentional engagement opportunities planned throughout the school year. Seniors will reconnect with Alumni Affairs during Founders Weekend in November, participate in a virtual spring check-in, and continue the journey through Commencement weekend in June.

Throughout the year, students will also have opportunities to participate in webinars featuring Piney Woods alumni who will share personal experiences and practical guidance on topics such as personal storytelling, professionalism, networking, college and career preparation, and navigating life after Piney Woods.

By beginning the alumni relationship before graduation, Alumni Affairs is helping seniors understand that becoming a graduate is not the end of their Piney Woods story—it is the beginning of a new chapter.

Wherever their journey takes them, they remain part of the Piney Woods family.

FNAF Online is an excellent game for people who like mystery as much as horror. In fact, there is much more in this game than surviving the night. The characters, environment, and weird occurrences provoke curiosity and a desire to understand what is going on. This adds another dimension to the game which makes people share theories about the possible meanings of various phenomena.

A great way to help seniors see graduation as the start of a new chapter. The focus on lifelong connections and practical clicker games guidance makes this a meaningful tradition for the Class of 2027.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of snowrider is the uninterrupted flow of each ride. You never have to pause your momentum just to search for fuel, allowing the challenge to stay centered on movement, timing, and avoiding obstacles.

Seeing alumni pass down wisdom to the next generation is truly inspiring. Like growing a dendrobium nobile, nurturing young minds with community support yields beautiful results.
