Circle of Faith Welcomes Pastor Colfer and Pastor Cooper to Encourage Piney Woods Scholars

The Piney Woods School recently welcomed two special guests to campus through its Circle of Faith division: Pastor Colfer and Pastor Cooper of Tyler, Texas. The visit was coordinated by our very own Rev. Wright, whose continued leadership helps strengthen the spiritual life and character-building experiences available to Piney Woods scholars.
During their time on campus, Pastor Colfer and Pastor Cooper spent meaningful time with our young men, offering words of encouragement, wisdom, and guidance. Their message centered on faith, perseverance, and the importance of making good choices — values that align deeply with Piney Woods’ commitment to educating the Head, Heart, and Hands.
The conversation created space for students to reflect on their purpose, their decisions, and the kind of men they are becoming. With warmth, honesty, and a spirit of mentorship, both pastors reminded our scholars that leadership begins with character, and that faith can serve as a steady foundation as they navigate challenges, opportunities, and personal growth.
