Curious about raising chickens or expanding your knowledge of sustainable poultry practices? Piney Woods School invites students, alumni, and community members to join our Poultry Workshop on the historic Piney Woods Farm, led by our experienced farm manager, James.
This interactive workshop provides participants with the skills and knowledge needed to start and maintain a small flock. From understanding proper nutrition and housing to learning about egg production and daily care, attendees will gain practical, hands-on experience in poultry management.
The Piney Woods Farm is more than a classroom, itās a space where learners connect with the land, cultivate responsibility, and explore the science of agriculture in real time. Great point about making poultry care feel approachable through a hands-onĀ workshop instead of just covering it in theory, because beginners usually learn much faster when they can actually see the setup and handling in person. It actually reminded me of a site I recently came across, Everything is Crab Wiki, which does something similar for the game Everything is CrabĀ by organizing complicated evolution paths, creature notes, and build ideas in a way that feels much easier to learn from. Sounds like this workshop would be really helpful for anyone just getting started.
