Strengthening the Farm, Growing the Future

The Piney Woods School is expanding hands-on learning opportunities with the addition of a new tractor to support the care and management of its more than 200-acre campus farm.

At Piney Woods, the land is more than a backdrop — it is a classroom, a training ground, and a place where learners discover the value of hard work, responsibility, stewardship, and innovation. This new equipment strengthens the school’s ability to manage daily farm operations while expanding real-world learning opportunities for students.

For generations, Piney Woods has believed in educating the Head, Heart, and Hands. That commitment is reflected in the way students are exposed to meaningful, practical experiences that connect classroom learning to life. From agriculture and environmental stewardship to STEM, leadership, and workforce readiness, learners are encouraged to see what is possible when knowledge is paired with action.

The new tractor supports farm operations, land maintenance, and agricultural programming, helping ensure that the campus farm remains a productive and purposeful space for learning. Just as importantly, it gives students access to modern equipment and a clearer view of the tools, careers, and pathways connected to agriculture, land management, and related industries.

As Piney Woods continues to grow its agricultural and experiential learning programs, resources like this make the vision tangible. They allow learners to see, touch, operate, and understand the systems that shape the world around them while building confidence, discipline, and practical skills along the way.

This investment reflects the heart of the Piney Woods experience: preparing scholars not only to succeed academically, but to lead, serve, create, and contribute with purpose.

We are excited for what this new addition makes possible for our farm, our programs, and most importantly, our learners.
